Freewings Productions is currently working on new animations for the Base Projekt by Mats Brento Aberer and Paul Kupsa. In the film, Paul Kupsa shares how he ventures step by step in an enterprise which appears surreal only by the objective. Besides, he recognizes that the most insecure factors are self-control and knowledge of your own abilities. While the objective dangers are predictable, the feelings decide on the correct action in such extreme situations. Premiere on July 8th in Graz!

Starting this spring, new photographs can be seen in the Ebenalp mountain railway. Freewings produced and realized the exhibition for the Ebenalp cable-car. We were able to provide varied and impressive photos which reflect the character of the Alpsteins. Keep your minds and eyes open, click on the picture to enlarge.

On August 13th, summer, free flight and ?? are celebrated in Wasserauen! This year especially in the program is the film contest, where all pilots, YouTube stars and amateur filmmakers are invited to present their short films at the festival. What matters are not professional productions, but beautiful, imaginative and witty movies around paragliding! The best films will be awarded. Further, the festival includes an Acro show, BASE jumps, 3D model helicopter show, talks on current topics and a ?? competition of a new kind. Barbecue, beer and DJ in the evening. There are overnight accommodation opportunities at the hotel Wasserauen. The festival takes place in an all-day good flying weather area, with possible weather degradation from 18.00.

This year again, the Freewings tribe escaped the winter’s cold and swung their wings in Iquique, Chile. Discover new things, go new ways, that was always a matter of Freewings. So we have further explored ways to experience the air and searched, and have bumped into "Connect Fly". Connected together in the air, new flight conditions appear, new figures become possible, a new flying horizon is just opening up before our eyes and wings! These days, the production of the Swiss Acroleague film has started. We are in the midst of post-production, and give full commitment for the film to be finished on time. Here is a frame of a shot fresh from the oven, just click on the image to enlarge it. The film will be ready in the coming weeks and of course published on our site.

A successful Swiss Acro Cup took place in Wessen on the first weekend of November, with the Robair organization team of the Coldwater Acrosession. Fabio Zgraggen and Flo Gmünder of Freewings showed you can fly in sync and reach the sensational 2nd place! The newly acquired P720 Acro wings proved the reliability of the best ones.

Summer is going, winter is coming, no reason to take the lead. On October 22nd we throw nothing but a real feast! Most probably, the film title "Play-Gravity" a firm notion. This fall, the time has come, “Play Gravity II – The Other Side" comes out in theaters. The flight school Appenzell has a chance to show this exceptional film for the first time in east Switzerland. A good reason to loot the cellar and have a proper summer-end party. The festival is starting around 17.00 with an Acrobatics show, after that the grill and barrels will be waiting! This night, a fireworks show will light up the sky of paragliders of Wasserauen. After the movie comes Happy-Hour and music through the night. Those who prefer not to drive home can spend the night at the hotel Wasserauen.
The festival takes place in all weathers.

Play Gravity is probably a word reference to every freestyle sportsman/woman. Freewings has contributed to this special film project. The film will be projected in Mollis on October 8th, and at the Antigravitations Party in Wasserauen on October 22nd. Do not miss it!

Half way done! Sam and Fabio already have the paragliding flight instructor license almost in the pocket. We have cleared the first two hurdles. After 8-weeks theory intensive learning session and the practical test, we can take a deep breathe and look forward to this summer as flight instructors to pass on our knowledge and experience to future paragliding pilots. Hopefully on July 6th, we’ll have passed the third and last exam.

Last weekend at the International Balloon Trophy we had another opportunity to jump from the balloon. We took the chance and have unique photographs of the candies in the sunset. In the next few days, a TV report about us will be broadcasted on the Austrian Servus TV! News will follow about the broadcast timing. Many thanks to the Held Trophy  and the balloonist that made this show possible!
